Confirming the incident was one of the affected students who narrated what took place that fateful morning around 11am. It was gather that the hostel supervisor of Isakaita hostel at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), went around the girls hostel like a Town’s Crier shouting that all occupants should vacate the premises within 30 minutes.

However, some of the girls claimed their rights, saying they don’t have anywhere to go, and the school management ought to have given them enough time before issuing a quit notice. They felt it was the responsibility of the school to provide them with accommodation while they do their project and ensure their security by not turning them to destitute at such a vulnerable time of their studies.
Unaware to them, the school had already made arrangement to forcefully kick them and their properties out, as the hostel supervisor threaten to call the security.
According to an eyewitness, UNN Security raided the hostel within 10 minutes of the warning and started displacing the student with brutality. It was both physical and verbal abuse as they forcefully throw everyone out while calling them derogatory names like prostitutes, witches, bitches and what not.
