Nigerians are truly suffering ~ Professor Anwuka





Nigeria’s minister of state for education, Professor Anthony Anwuka has admitted that Nigerians are truly suffering due to the economic recession ravaging the nation.

According to Daily Post, Anwuka made the comment at a law lecture organised at the Imo State University, Owerri.

“Though there are hunger and pain in the land following the economic crash, I know that after this timeout, it will be better for all Nigerians,
” Professor Anwuka said.

Professor Anwuka further stated that most products consumed in Nigeria are imported, even as he opined that a Nigerians failed to adjust to the present economic recession in the country due to their bloated lifestyle.


In her remarks, IMSU acting vice chancellor, Professor Adaobi Obasi, said the essence of the event was to honour the institution’s alumni who had been elevated and given higher and sensitive portfolios.

We appreciate you for graduating from IMSU. You are really good ambassadors of the university,” she said.

Professor Anwuka is a former vice chancellor of IMSU and an in-law to Imo state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha. 

A recent media report revealed that all is not well between Professor Anwuka and his superior in the ministry of education, Malam Adamu Adamu. 

Both ministers were said to have fallen out over the removal of 17 Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of parastatals, agencies and commissions under the ministry of education. 

Professor Anuwuka was reportedly sidelined by Malam Adamu in the scheme of things in the decisions taken.
